TRADITIONAL BEERS

TOTAL RESPECT FOR EACH BEER STYLE

What exactly is a beer style? A recipe and a list of raw materials are certainly not enough to define the countless different types of beers. Each style is the result of constant developments, of sometimes quite random episodes and events, of chance occurrences and needs, and of a fusion of different cultures. Each beer style is a story in itself – an extraordinary tapestry of colours, flavours, and aromas. An art form in which each beer has its own unique origin, tasting profile (colour, aroma, flavours), ingredients, alcohol content and method of production. Recreating and presenting each beer style is a laborious research process long before production gets under way. A process that at Birra Mastino has become a passion and one that we wish to share with those who are ready to savour the experience that each individual beer style offers for tasting.

HOP BEERS

AROMATICITY AND LOW ALCOHOL CONTENT

Mastino hop beers were born from the desire to offer beers with distinct aromatics and an abundant presence of hops. Varied and pronounced flavors to which the HOPE line adds a limited alcohol content, for lighter, easier drinks that can be enjoyed at any time and occasion.

EACH TO ITS OWN SEASON

In addition to our constant production of traditional beers, Birra Mastino also ceaselessly explores novel flavours and innovative combinations of ingredients. This quest has led to our Crazy Shot beers ¬– limited-edition brews inspired by the changing seasons and the creative drive of Mauro and Christian Spring and summer call for fresh, light, floral libations, while autumn and winter suggest more structured beers with heightened spiciness and a more robust body. For each season, we find intriguing recipes, with a personal touch, for the pleasure of exploring the infinite world of beer styles, always with a new beer to enjoy.

PAIRING TASTES
FOR GREATER PLEASURE

Our profound respect for beer styles means we consider food pairings to be a fundamental aspect of tasting each beer. Each style shines brightest when accompanied by the right culinary companion, enhancing its sensory attributes.

Sensory characteristics are often perceived in complementary pairs, so we need to perform a sort of sensory analysis of a dish in order to find its perfect match, identifying its special characteristics and then harmoniously aligning them with the profile of a beer. By matching the dish with the beer, we are able to obtain a symphony of sensations.

In other words, there is a perfect Mastino beer for every dish, and vice versa: highlighting how a successful combination not only intensifies the pleasure of each bite, but creates new sensations that do not appear in the beer and food alone, thus enriching the experience.
