TRADITIONAL BEERS
PILS 1291
FIRST PILS IS LIKE FIRST LOVE
A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF STYLE
1291 was the year Cangrande della Scala was born. It is from that memorable date that our beer – the first ever produced by Birrificio Mastino – takes its name.
Pils 1291, a bottom-fermented Bohemian Pils, is made using the traditional three-mash decoction process. This traditional technique brings out the full flavour and aroma of the malt. It takes time and requires great care, but it gives the beer a unique and distinctive flavour.
Fresh and floral on the nose, with a medium body – given by the special production process – that immediately yields the aromas of the Tettnanger and Mittelfrüh hops.
